This renowned racetrack in Germany, often referred to as the &#8220;Green Hell,&#8221; has become a benchmark for performance in the automotive world. It&#8217;s a popular venue for automakers to test their vehicles and set lap records.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ba8b3e9 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"ba8b3e9\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8b51346\" data-id=\"8b51346\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7cb5c66 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7cb5c66\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On August 18, 2023, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rimac-automobili.com\/nevera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rimac Nevera<\/a>\u00a0broke the previous EV production lap record (by Tesla), beating it by 20 seconds on its first debut at the famous and ever-challenging\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nuerburgring.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N\u00fcrburgring track<\/a>. In the historical, shorter track configuration of 20.6 km (12.8-mile), the Nevera set an impressive time of 7:00:928. The record-breaking lap, driven by Croatian racing driver\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Martin_Kodri%C4%87\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin Kodri\u0107<\/a>, was undertaken using\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.michelin.ie\/auto\/tyres\/michelin-pilot-sport-cup-2-r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michelin Cup2R tires<\/a>, and verified by independent timing data,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tuvsud.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">T\u00dcV S\u00dcD<\/a>, and on-board telemetry.<\/p><p>Commenting on the record-breaking lap, Kodri\u0107 explained, \u201cThe fact that the Nevera can achieve this kind of speed on track, when it\u2019s been developed to be a comfortable hyper GT for the road, is what makes it so special. This achievement showcases the engineering prowess and adaptability of the Nevera, which was primarily designed as a hyper GT.&#8221;<\/p><p>This record is just the latest in a list of more than 20 that the Nevera has shattered this year. In April 2023, at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP), Germany, the Rimac Nevera claimed a spectacular\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rimac-newsroom.com\/press-releases\/rimac-automobili\/rimac-nevera-sets-23-performance-records-in-a-single-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">23 performance records<\/a>\u00a0in a single day. The Nevera had already arrived at ATP track already holding the title of EV with the highest verified top speed, having achieved 256mph (412 km\/h).<\/p><p>In July at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwood.com\/motorsport\/festival-of-speed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goodwood Festival of Speed<\/a>, the Nevera once again demonstrated its record-breaking ability. In front of a capacity crowd, the Nevera set a 49.32-second time during the timed Supercar Shootout, making it not just the fastest electric production car to have ever taken on the famous hillclimb, but also the fastest production car to run the hill in 2023.<\/p><p>To commemorate this record-breaking year, Rimac Automobili introduced the Nevera Time Attack edition, a one-of-12 limited edition series, all of which have already been sold out. The first customer, Californian, Jeff Miller, received his Nevera Time Attack at its unveiling at the<a href=\"https:\/\/whatsupmonterey.com\/events\/monterey-car-week\/the-quail-a-motorsports-gathering\/457\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Quail, a Motorsports Gathering<\/a>, during the iconic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Monterey_Car_Week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monterey Car Week<\/a>\u00a0in California.<\/p><p>Rimac Group Founder and CEO, Mate Rimac, reflected on the achievements, saying, \u201cThe Nevera Time Attack is a Limited Edition that celebrates the achievements of the past year.
