This includes cars, motorcycles, trucks, ATVs, boats, RVs, vans, SUVs, tractors, and more. The GBX75 is part of NOCO’s Extreme Series, designed to release maximum energy at every start.
Safety Features
Both jump starters feature a safe, mistake-free design. You simply connect the terminals (red to red, black to black), power them on, and the jump starter performs a quick diagnostic. A white LED indicates when it’s ready to start. If the white LED doesn’t light up, you power it down, double-check your connections, and try again. Both models also auto shut down after 60 seconds for safety.
The GBX75 has additional indicator lights that let you know if there’s a problem, such as reverse polarity or a temperature issue. This extra layer of feedback can be helpful in troubleshooting and offers better thermal efficiency and power management for improved performance and longer battery life.

As a power supply, the GB70 has a USB and a 12-volt outlet. The GBX75 also has a USB output, but it doesn’t have a 12-volt outlet. This could be a deciding factor depending on your power supply needs and accessories you are running.
The GB70 doubles as a portable power source for recharging USB devices, like a smartphone, tablet, and more, or powering 12-volt devices, like a tire inflator, power inverter, and much more. It can provide up to 6 smartphone recharges.
Additional Features
Both models come with an ultra-bright 400 lumen LED flashlight with 7 light modes, including SOS and emergency strobe. This feature can be particularly useful in emergency situations or during nighttime use when your mobile phone’s light doesn’t quite cut it.
Accessories

Which one should you get?
On a high level, they are very similar but I would recommend the following to get the most bang for your buck.

For smaller vehicles with engines up to 4 liters, both the GB70 and GBX75 would provide more than enough power. However, considering the price and power requirements, the GB70 would be a more cost-effective choice here.
Midsize SUVs, Trucks, and Vans
For midsize vehicles with engines between 4 to 6 liters, the GB70 would still be a suitable choice. It provides ample power for these types of vehicles and comes with a reasonable price tag. If you want something that might span to the large category in case you upgrade your car in the future, go for the GBX75. It is a safe bet.
Large SUVs, Trucks, and Vans
For larger vehicles with engines between 6 to 8 liters, the GB70 should still work, but the GBX75 would be a much safer bet, especially when weather and temperatures are taken into consideration. Its higher peak amps and enhanced safety features make it a more reliable partner for jump starting larger engines.
Heavy-Duty Trucks, RVs, and Boats
For heavy-duty vehicles and boats with engines up to 8.5 liters for gasoline and 6.5 liters for diesel, the GBX75 would be my recommended choice. Its superior power output and fast recharge time make it ideal for these demanding applications. Alternatively, take a look a some of the larger NOCO jump starters, there are several other solutions for heavy trucks and commercial grade vehicles, such as NOCO GBX155.
Price
As of the time of writing, the GB70 is priced at $199.95, while the GBX75 is priced at $249.95. The price difference is justified by the GBX75’s higher power output, faster charging times, and enhanced safety features.
