Yokohama GEOLANDAR X-CV Tires Fit Subaru Uncharted

According to www.tirebusiness.com, Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. is supplying its GEOLANDAR X-CV as original equipment for Subaru Corporation’s new SUV-type battery electric vehicle, the Uncharted U.S. model, which launched in North America in December 2025. The fitment is 235/50R20 100V.

The GEOLANDAR X-CV is a highway terrain tire carrying the M+S mud and snow rating. Yokohama positions it as a high-speed capable design that balances safety, comfort, durability, and rolling efficiency for everyday driving.

Yokohama marks the sidewall with its proprietary E+ symbol to denote technology tuned for electrified vehicles. That badge signals enhanced durability, quieter operation, and improved energy efficiency compared with conventional OE tires.

Development work for the X-CV used Yokohama’s HAICoLab AI-driven platform, a process the company says helps optimize tread design and performance characteristics. The same tire also appears as OE on other Toyota group electric models in North America, including the Lexus RZ and the Toyota bZ.

Yokohama highlights advanced tread patterns on the X-CV to sharpen wet traction, lower cabin noise, and stabilize handling, traits that suit a luxury-oriented BEV in all-season conditions. For Subaru, the fitment supports the automaker’s push into battery electric vehicles while retaining focus on everyday drivability.

This OE selection underlines Yokohama’s expanding role in EV tire programs, bringing what the company describes as electric-vehicle specific durability and comfort to a new Subaru model.
