2017 Ford F-150 Engine

The Ford F-150 2017 houses a naturally aspirated multiport – injected 283 hp 3.5 liter V6 engine producing 255 pound feet of torque with six speed automatic transmission as standard. The rear wheel drive system comes standard. The upgraded version of the engine includes a new 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost engine producing 375 hp and 470 pound feet of torque with ten speed automatic transmission. The other optional engines are a 325 hp 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6 engine producing 375 pound feet of torque and a 385 hp 5.0 liter Ti-VCT V8 engine producing 387 pound feet of torque. These come coupled with electronic 10-speed transmission. The Four wheel drive system comes optional. The 2017 Ford F-150 has the maximum towing capacity of 11,100 pounds. The 2017 Ford F-150 will be available in five trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and the range topping Platinum.

2017 Ford F-150 Exteriors

The 2017 Ford F-150 is being produced on the typical concept of Body – on – frame. The body is made up of lighter materials like Aluminium, similar to its predecessor in 2015. There is a comprehensive lay – down of 500-plus pounds. The overall appearance of the vehicle is squarish with boxy corners and parallel to ground alignment. The body style has many viable options, namely Regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew. There are furthermore options available regarding the length of the cargo box, which may be 5.5 feet, 6.5 feet and 8 feet. The standard wheels are 17 inch sliver painted aluminium wheels. These can be upgraded to 18 inch or 20 inch chrome-like PVD or aluminium wheels. There will be additional bi-LED headlights and LED floodlights in the exterior mirrors, a kick-down step and a locking remote-drop tailgate. A series of LEDs illuminates the cargo box.

The cabin is similar to the previous generation F-150. The utility areas are placed at regular points with very mild modification in their textures or appearance. There is ample of legroom and the rear row seats enjoy commodious environment. The rear seats’ seatbelt incorporates airbags within. The base model consists of tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The optional features for the 2017 Ford F-150 includes Remote Keyless Entry, Power Windows, Power Moonroof, Heated Steering Wheel, Navigation System, Power-adjustable Pedals, Rear Window Defroster, Backup Camera, Remote Start and Inflatable Rear Seat Belts. The new generation F-150 incorporates tiny cameras all around as the new 360 degree camera system.

The 2017 Ford F-150 comes standard with advanced safety package which includes Airbags System, Four wheels Anti – Lock Brakes, Curve Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Safety Belts. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded a ‘Good’ rating in all their safety rating criteria. However, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has granted a ‘4 star’ rating in Rollover Test with ‘5 stars’ in Overall rating, Frontal Crash test and Side crash test.
