Lexus has revolutionarily designed its new generation 2017 Lexus NX with sharp designing on the outside and smooth finishing on the inside. The upcoming crossover boasts modern times features and sports like body style which is impressively making a mark.

2017 Lexus NX Engine

The 2017 Lexus NX will be launched in three trim levels: Base NX 200t, NX 200t F Sport and range topping NX 300h. The NX 300h will be a hybrid model offering extraordinary fuel efficiency. The 2017 Lexus NX will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbo four engine producing 235 hp and 258 pound feet of torque. This will be coupled with six speed automatic transmission. The front wheel drivecomes standard and the all wheel drive will be optional in NX 200t and NX 200t F Sport. The optional engine is a 2.5 liter inline 4 engine paired with two electric motors and electrons producing 194 hp. This model is expected to deliver the highest fuel efficiency of 33 miles per gallon combined.

2017 Lexus NX Exteriors

The 2017 Lexus NX will be longer, wider and taller than the vehicles of the same class. There is a sporting spindle grille on the front fascia with a string of Daytime LED Running Lights. The roof line is sloping and the window borders are freshly designed for an extravagant look. There is an optional sunroof. There are 17 to 18 inch wheels, automatic LED lights, heated mirrors, keyless ignition and entry, around view camera, automatic dual zone climate control and a sport-tuned suspension for a more serene ride.

2017 Lexus NX Interiors

The interiors are luxuriously designed with premium quality materials and smooth finishing. The seats are low in height which feels more comfortable than the other crossovers. The seats are also power adjustable with comfort providing bucket handle system. The infotainment complex comprises of a panoramic view 7 inch monitor, surround view cameras on the front, side and rear of the vehicle, Bluetooth connectivity, Navigation, USB port, eight speaker sound system, CD player, HD and satellite radio and an auxiliary jack.

2017 Lexus NX Safety Features

The 2017 Lexus NX houses all the modern safety features with even more advancement. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes include an Anti-lock Braking System to help maintain steering control while braking. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution modulates the amount of stopping power sent to the front and rear wheels, for enhanced control. The Lexus’s Enform Safety Connect provides the necessary information to the Emergency responders at the crucial time of need. The Intuitive Parking Assist technology assists considerably in parallel parking. The Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects and warns the driver of vehicles approaching from the adjacent lanes. The Rear Cross Traffic Alert notifies the driver of vehicles approaching from either side while backing out of the parking space. Apart from these there are Rain Sensing Wipers, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Smart Stop Technology, Hill Start Assist Control and Brake Assist.

The Advanced Eight Airbags system includes driver’s and front passenger’s advanced airbag system, driver’s and front passenger’s knee airbags, front and rear side curtain airbags and front seat-mounted side airbags.

Crash Test Rating – Safety Score?

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded a ‘Good’ rating to the 2017 Lexus NX all their top safety tests. The National Highway Traffic safety Administration has given an overall 5 star rating, with 4 star rating in Frontal Crash, 5 star rating Side Crash and 4 star rating in Rollover.
