Ford has been working upon its Taurus since its inception as a 1986 model, which added a milestone to Ford with its launch. Presently, Ford Taurus is going through minor redesigning with addition for various stylish, technological and safety features to be called as the Sixth Generation Ford Taurus.
Ford Taurus 2019 Engine
The engine is expected to be a 3.5 litre V6 that has 288 hp and 254 Nm of torque. The EcoBoost engine is 3.5 litre V6 with sufficient power to generate 356 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. There will also be optional smaller engines EcoBoost 2.0 litre which produces 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The fuel efficiency of the car is nominal. The new generation car will have an automatic 9 – speed gearbox that will help the car save fuel significantly. The 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine is going to be the most efficient engine promising 26 MPG. Also, the lighter weight materials used to build the body will enhance its efficiency. Front wheel drive will remain as the standard and the four wheel drive will be offered as an option.
Ford Taurus 2019 Interior and Exterior
The redesigning of the new generation Ford Taurus will mark the introduction of Kinetic designing. The 2019 Ford Taurus measures 196 inches in length and 73 inches in width. The trunk area is hollow, measuring 20 cubic feet, which makes it massively spacious for the passengers. Also, the seats are spaciously arranged with spaces in between to allow further comfort to the passengers. The swept-back LED headlights, large trapezoidal bar grille, subtle chrome inserts, directed fog lamps and long rear end make for a limousine-like appearance making it look quite attractive. With two exhaust pipes at the back, a panoramic glass roof top and 20 – inch alloy wheels, the 2019 model is all set to capture the market. However, the car will be offering very limited colour schemes to its buyers.
The wide centre stack, the rotary gear selector, the digital instrument cluster and even the massive legroom for the rear seats add to the stylish interiors. Even though, the changes are expected to be minor, the most important feature of the digital instrument cluster is the 10.1 inch touchscreen that bears Ford’s SYNC3 user interface. The radio system is built in Sony, audio and 12 – speaker system that calls for an attractive surround sound system. The seats are leather – covered and have an in-built heating and therapeutic massaging system to add on to the comfort levels. The automated climate control system, 2 USB ports, a wireless Bluetooth, Wireless 4G LTE contacts, and a reinforced wiper system to drive in moist and foggy conditions.

The advanced safety features that are being expected as standard in the modern times are going to be present. Blind – Spot Monitoring System, Forward Collision Warning System, Adaptive Cruise Control and Brake Assistance are expected to remain available to add to safety to the passengers.
Ford Taurus 2019 Price and Release Date
The 2019 Ford Taurus is expected to range between $37,000 and $43,000 and the car may get unveiled in 2019 or last months of 2018.
